Why Should We All Consume Amazon Herb Products?

Amazonian plants have been used for thousands of years, and their efficacy and safety are proven.  They have evolved to provide us very unique nutrients to build all facets of our health.  Especially now, with our soils being depleted of minerals, chemicals in food, and polluted environment, we need to boost our immune systems and flood our bodies with the powerful healing properties of Amazonian plants to protect us from the increasing chronic disease we see in our world today.

The following is a presentation by an independent scientist, Christian Drapeau, which does a great job summing up why we should consume Amazon Herb Co. products on a consistent basis.  Enjoy – Our health is our wealth!

8 Reasons to Consume Amazon Herb Products

When I began working on the idea of describing 8 reasons to consume Amazon Herb Products, I first had in mind the various effects on health, as demonstrated by science. But the more I was thinking about, the more it became obvious to me that the reasons why one should consume Amazon Herb Products goes far beyond the information provided on the herbs by science. It goes into all aspects of Amazon Herbs Company, the plants themselves, and the benefits to the rainforest and its indigenous people. So here are in my opinion, the 8 reasons why everyone should consume Amazon Herb Products.

1. They are wild herbs from virgin soils
2. They are ancestral formulas
3. They are prepared in a unique manner
4. The rainforest provides many billion dollar drugs
5. Amazon Herb products work
6. Amazon herbs provide scientifically demonstrated benefits
7. Amazon Herb products address all basic health issues
8. Numerous and unequaled benefits go to the rainforest and indigenous people

Let’s take these various points one by one.

What does it mean that the herbs are growing in virgin soils, and why is this important?

Data obtained from the FAO, Food and Agriculture Organization, an international organization created in 1945 that is part of the United Nations and whose purpose is to defeat hunger and malnutrition in the world tells us that if we grow a crop every year on a piece of land, and we do not add any type of artificial fertilizers, after ten years the soil becomes barren. This is essentially due to the demineralization of the soil; without minerals crops cannot grow.

Now, if one grows a crop for 2 years followed by 8 years of fallow land, and then repeats this cycle of 2 years of farming followed by 8 years of fallow land, the soil still remains somewhat fertile after 60 years. The demineralization is slowly mitigated by the years of natural replenishment. However, if one grows a crop for 2 years and then keeps the land fallow for 18 years under trees, the soil remains optimally productive forever. And this is due to the natural remineralization of the soil brought by the annual decay of leaves and other organic matter.

And the reason why I am bringing this up is because this is the situation that prevails in the Amazonian jungle. Indigenous people harvest the herbs in the wilderness, not in specific cultivated pieces of land. Every year they gather the herbs in new places and the herbs that are collected contain the optimal amount of minerals provided by an undisturbed soil.

Nobel Prize Winner, Linus Pauling, stated that “we can trace every sickness, every disease and every ailment to a mineral deficiency.”  The herbs form the rainforest provide the ideal natural source of minerals for the body.

Wilderness also means exceptional biodiversity. It has been known for ages that the best way to maintain the quality and productivity of a land is to rotate crops. But, the ideal situation is not to actually rotate crops, it is to have a huge diversity of plants growing on a given land; the problem is that this is not productive from our western point of view; if we want corn we plant corn, not corn and 100 other plants. The jungle provides an unequaled biodiversity that offers the greatest opportunity for maintaining strong and rich soil in a long-term sustainable manner.  So, herbs from the rainforest will always be optimally filled with minerals.

The difference with our common agricultural methods is striking to say the least.

The wilderness of the Amazonian jungle offers another unique advantage. The best way to accelerate the biodegradation of organic matter to turn them into organic fertilizers is to flood them with water which accelerate the bacterial degradation. If we could afford it, flood irrigation of a wild land would be the best way to prepare a land for highest productivity. This is exactly what we have in the Amazonian jungle on a grand scale. Millions of acres are flooded every year, turning the Amazonian forest into the largest organic farmland of the world!

Most people believe that the difference between organic and non-organic produce is that organic produce contains more nutrients than non-organic ones. But this is not accurate. Many studies have been conducted to put this in evidence, but so far no real nutritional differences were found between organic and non-organic food. Yet, the difference is undeniable.  You can feel the difference by simply eating a non-organic and an organic carrot.  So what is this difference? How can we see it? And what does it mean?

One important difference that has been found between organic and non-organic foods is their redox potential.  I will not go into details here because it can become complex, but in general, the redox potential is the ability to give electrons.  In a way, it is the ability of a food to act as an antioxidant in the body. The more negative the redox potential of a vegetable, the better it is. Non-organic produce often has a positive redox potential, meaning the body must use its own antioxidants to neutralize such food.  Organic produce on the other hand have negative redox potentials that can go as high as -300.  Wild foods, like the rainforest herbs and tubers, like suma and maca, as well as blue-green algae from Klamath Lake, can score as high as –600.  Wild foods are real antioxidant nutrition that promote optimal health.

There is a last characteristic of wild foods from the virgin soils of the rainforest that has been put in evidence by the work of Dr. Emoto.  Dr. Emoto is a Japanese scientist who developed a technique by which he puts a simple drop of water on a microscope slide and allows it to freeze into a water crystal.  He then looks at the shape of the crystal. What Emoto has found is that water absorbs the vibration of its environment and what it has been exposed to, and this is reflected in the shape of the crystal.  It is a phenomenon that must be seen.

Why is this relevant to our discussion? The rainforest is bathed by billions of gallons of water that flows on virgin lands in an area with virtually no population. There is no pollution in the Amazonian rainforest.  So, the herbs that you are consuming have been growing in virgin soils irrigated by water that carries the message of harmony. I think that when we ask whether we want food grown with this water or this water (as the slides are switched; slide 13), the answer is rather obvious.

What does it mean when we say that these Amazon Herb formulas are ancestral formulas?

Here is a picture of a tree that is 1700 years old. When this tree began growing, the herbs and formulas available to us by the Amazon Herb Co. were already being used by indigenous people.

We often look at science as being this collective machine that tells us what is real from what is not; what is really working for your health. We inherently believe that if science confirms something then it must be true. Yet, when we study the history of science we realize that it is a long series of errors as we search for a greater understanding. There is nothing wrong with this, but it is interesting to reflect on the purpose of science, at least in medicine. Why do we investigate whether an herb is good for health?

The answer is simple – because we cannot afford doing real-time experimentation in the field on thousands of people and for centuries.  So, we select a “representative” group of people and perform the study on them. Then, with that data we perform statistics and extrapolate what we found on a few people to an entire population. This way we can get relatively fast results, and make this whole process fit the contemporary economic model of medicine. But this is done simply to replace the more accurate and powerful approach of long-term testing.  Having ancestral formulas means that they have passed the test of time, they have been used for centuries, and knowledge has been developed on the blending of certain herbs for synergistic effect. Nothing can replace the proof of time, and that’s what the Amazon Herb Co. products provide for us.

Amazon Herb Products are made using the spagyric method of extraction, which is seldom used in the industry, though it is the best method of extraction.

In brief, a plant is composed of mostly cellulose and a small amount of pigments, vitamins, minerals and other compounds collectively referred to as phytochemicals. Most of the time, these phytochemicals amount for less than 10% of the weight of any plants. So, when we consume a dried plant or a dried herb without any extraction, we consume mostly wood!

The spagyric extraction process removes the cellulose of an herb, leaving only the phytochemicals and minerals.
The actual process is relatively simple. The herb to be extracted is first placed in water, the most universal solvent. Everything that is water-soluble is extracted and ends up in the water. Then the herb is placed in alcohol, the second most universal solvent, and most of the remaining phytochemicals end up in the alcohol. At this point the herb has lost virtually all its phytochemicals, which are the water and alcohol, and all that remains is essentially cellulose or wood in which minerals are trapped. So the herb is combusted at high temperature to deliver an alkaline ash that is filled with minerals. The final spagyric extract is a blend of the water and alcohol extracts, and the mineral ash.

The herbs are harvested and then brought to the village where they are sun-dried. This is done to prevent the growth of bacteria or molds, which would otherwise be a problem in the moist rainforest.  The herbs are then taken by boat to Pucallpa where the warehouse is located.  There, the herbs are sorted and cleaned by hand, and an ethno-botanist confirms the identity of the herbs before they are shipped to Lima, where a phyto-sanitary certificate is obtained before shipping the herbs to the United States. Upon arrival to the United States, herbs are inspected by the USDA and FDA before reaching their destination at the Amazon Herb Co. headquarters.  At the company’s headquarters, the identity of the herbs are also verified using organoleptic properties and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). The final testing is also done to ensure that the herbs are free of pathogens and heavy metal contamination. When the identity and purity of the herbs have been clearly established, the herbs are processed through spagyric extraction. Herbs are also encapsulated, but before encapsulation they are sprayed with spagyric extracts to strengthen the powder. At this point, the products are ready to be shipped to your home.

Another reason to consume Amazon Herb products is because the Amazon rainforest is the pharmacy of the world. What makes an herb successful on the medical market is not its scientific efficacy, but rather its marketability and whether a patent can be obtained. There are many herbs with demonstrated exceptional efficacy in the treatment of various health problems, but because they do not fit in the medical model, they never receive proper attention and media coverage.

As said by James Duke, well known botanist affiliated with the USDA, “If I can find four billion-dollar drug plants in my humble and domesticated backyard, how many are lost as we cut and burn that irreplaceable Amazonian forest?”

One of the main reasons to consume Amazon Herb products is the simple fact that they work.  They have been developed according to ancestral knowledge gained over centuries and have been tested by doctors.

Many of the herbs used in the Amazon Herb products have been studied by science and continue to be actively studied, while their health benefits have been confirmed.

Recent scientific studies showed a connection between antioxidants and there role in aging.  Antioxidants were shown to protect the immune system, which is heavily linked to longevity and the prevention of aging.  Antioxidants have shown to destroy free radicals along with protecting the structure and integrity of cells and tissues.  Being wild plants from virgin soils, Amazon plants have shown the highest anti-oxidant potentials in the world.

The camu camu berry has been found to hold the highest concentration of Vitamin C than any plant in the world (over 40 times than an orange).  High natural and active Vitamin C intake has shown to likely protect against cognitive impairment, cerebrovascular disease, vascular dementia, and cognitive decline.  The fruit also showed strong anti-oxidative and anti-inflammatory properties (anti-aging!!) in 2008 – a study actually found 30 antioxidant compounds in camu camu called phenols which have a growing interest in the role in preventing degenerative diseases.

Recent studies on cacao (the plant chocolate is made from) have shown very high flavonol content – these studies suggested cacaos possible use in preventing vascular impairment (including dementia and strokes), along with maintaining cardiovascular health.  Cacao has also shown to increase cognitive function, along with inhibiting the growth of colon cancer cells.

Studies on Sangre de Drago (Dragon’s Blood), which is a red sap from the Sangre de Drago tree, has been recently studied for its anti-bacterial, anti-tumor, and wound healing effects. Its effects on being used for gastric ulcers and diarrhea have also been studied.

Cinnamon recently showed strong results as an anti-inflammatory agent, along with reducing serum glucose, triglyceride, LDL cholesterol, and total cholesterol in type II diabetes patients.  Another study showed it effective in reducing insulin sensitivity.

Mangoes and pineapples were recently found that the bio-availability of their nutrients are optimum in juice form.  Studies recently found compounds in pineapple to have strong anti-inflammatory effects, and mangoes were found to diminish cancer cells (more precisely colon and breast cancer cells).

Chanca piedra, which means in Spanish “stone breaker” is used in the jungle to eliminate kidney stones. The interesting thing is that many studies conducted over the past few years have confirmed the fact that chanca piedra prevents the formation of large CaOx crystals and breaks down large aggregates into many smaller ones that can easily be eliminated.  Not only has science confirmed its effect, but isn’t it rather interesting that indigenous people who have no access to labs and sophisticated equipment called “stone breaker” a plant that literally breaks stones?

Iporuru has been used for ages to alleviate the symptoms of rheumatism and arthritis, and to sooth inflammation. Recently, a study showed that an extract of iporuru was effective at reducing inflammation in a mouse model.

Likewise, tayuya has been used to alleviate joint pain and inflammation. Recently, an extract of tayuya has been shown to reduce inflammation in four different animal models by 46%, 61%, 79% and 87%.

Mulungu, a beautiful red flower, has been used in the jungle for post-traumatic stress syndrome.  Several studies have shown the anxiolytic (anxiety-relieving) properties of mulungu, to the point of being as effective as drugs like diazepam, without the side effects of drowsiness. Mulungu was also shown to reduce pain.

Pata de vaca is known in the jungle as vegetable insulin. In 2004-2005 studies have been published confirming that pata de vaca helps the body produce insulin. Pata de vaca was effective in two animal models of diabetes.

Thousands of other studies have been done on Amazonian herbs, all showing to provide us with such powerful benefits.

When considering the whole product line, another reason to consume Amazon Herb Products is that they address all basic health issues.

Zamu was created because of its synergistic anti-aging, mood-elevating, and whole-body strengthening effects.

Digestive health is effectively addressed by Digestazon, Digestazon Plus, and Fiberzon (including Fiberzon Plus!).

Recovazon and Warrior promote healthy blood and lymphatic circulation.

Envirozon and the Shipibo Treasure Tea promote effective yet gentle detoxification.

When the main issues have been addressed, the body needs to regenerate. Aquazon will support the regenerative abilities of the body.

Sumacazon and Lunazon will help maintain and strengthen hormonal balance.

Arcozon, Uña de gato and Aquazon will help maintain and strengthen the immune system.

Metabazon and Chocamaca will help cravings and sugar balance which assists in fat loss and weight management.

Illumination is a well-balanced and fully absorbable  ‘multi-vitamin and mineral’It blows any synthesized multivitamin out of this world.

And Camu, Zamu, and Sangre de Drago will heavily support anti-aging and tissue health.

Finally, one of the most important reasons to consume Amazon Herb products is the far-reaching benefit that it brings to the rainforest and its inhabitants.

The rainforest is a unique and unequaled resource that must be protected:

• 30% of all known plant and animal species are in the Amazon
• 23,000 species in every 6 acres of Amazonian Rainforest
• 300 species of trees in every 2.5 acres of Amazonian Rainforest (in CA forest – only 10 species in every 2.5 acres)
• 25% (> 7,000) of drugs contain rainforest ingredients
• < 2% of tropical species have been analyzed for possible pharmaceutical use

The Amazon Rainforest is truly the pharmacy of the world, and it is paramount to protect it and ensure its survival.

Yet, in spite of its vital role in the equilibrium of our planet, large parcels of forest are cut everyday for lumber and agricultural interests.

• Approximately 50 acres of Rainforest are lost to deforestation per minute
• That amounts to roughly 75,000 acres per day and 26,000,000 acres per year
• If nothing is changed, at the current rate of deforestation the Amazonian Rainforest may be gone in 20 years
• Of the millions of indigenous inhabitants, only a few hundred thousands remain; the Amazonian Rainforest and its people are in peril.

Of all the great reasons to consume Amazon Herb Products, this is really what sets Amazon Herb Company apart. Consuming Amazon Herb Products automatically gives you the opportunity to protect the rainforest and its inhabitants. About $150 per acre per year is earned through lumber and agricultural activities; using the same land for the sustainable harvesting of herbs can yield up to $2,400 per acre. Harvesting herbs is transforming the economic reality of indigenous people.

But this is only part of the problem. In order to develop, maintain and protect this economic activity, the indigenous people must legally own the land they harvest herbs from. Ownership of land is a strange concept for the indigenous people, but the reality of today’s world requires that they exercise their rights in this regard. Oftentimes the indigenous people are not willingly offering their land for lumber activities, and lumber companies simply come and cut the trees.

Tribes can claim ownership of lands on which they have had ancestral presence. Once titles to the land have been obtained, they can legally prevent lumber activities. This legal work requires legal counsel, fees and guidance to the tribes. The Amazon Herb Company has undertaken the responsibility to educate the tribes in this regard and provide them with the legal and financial assistance to secure their rights on their land. Recently, one tribe has had the opportunity to exercise its rights against a lumber company that had begun cutting trees on the tribe’s land. In an unprecedented legal case, the tribe won and obliged the company to cease its activity.  The Amazon Herb Company is contributing to the preservation of the rainforest and its inhabitants by making the forest worth more money standing than cut, and by establishing the rights of the indigenous people over their land.

Amazon Herb Company is also helping the tribes manage various health issues. Interestingly, virtually no degenerative diseases are seen in the inhabitants of the jungle. However, due to the inherent nature of the rainforest and the pollution of the water brought by lumber activities, intestinal problems linked to parasites and other pathogens are common.

For this reason, the Amazon Herb Company is working on a program to provide the tribes with manual water purification system for pure drinking water. In certain tribes, solar power systems have been installed to provide them with renewable and sustainable sources of energy. This has allowed the development of broadcasting stations from which health, cultural, and community information can be shared with distant tribes.

Aside from being unique, the work done in the jungle by the Amazon Herb Company and John Easterling is impressive, and testifies to the unmitigated commitment and spirit of his contribution to the rainforest and the indigenous people.

Fortunately, you can obtain all these benefits and participate in this invaluable contribution to the world by simply consuming the Amazon Herb products.

Become an associate and enhance your life along with so many others – victory in the rainforest can happen, and needs to happen as soon as possible.
